The Lancaster City Bureau of police was called to the DC Dior Cuts 648 East Walnut Street in Lancaster city for reports of gunshots in the area.
Officers located approximately 70 spent shell casings at the scene with a significant number of shots causing damage to the barbershop.
No injuries have been reported, according to the police release.
There have been no arrests and no suspects have been identified.
"This incident does not appear to be random and there is no ongoing public safety risk that the Bureau is aware of at this time," police say.
Detective Adam Flurry from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bureau of Police is investigating this shooting.
